The Vision and the Way of Vasiṣṭha is a concise compilation of around 2,500 verses from the colossal original - Yogavasistha, which runs into around 32,000 verses. Yogavasistha is a book on Advaita Vedanta, in the form of a conversation between sage Vasistha and prince Rama. The present book, translated by Samvid, has an extensive Introduction by B L Athreya. The main text is organized into three chapters – The Qualification of Knowledge, Knowledge of the True Principle, and Liberation. The chapters are divided systematically into numerous sections and sub-sections on various topics. The book has the original Sanskrit text along with English translation, thereby retaining its poetic flavor, while at the same time also providing an easy to follow explanation.
